This page is for all those natural skincare products which we have carefully made in response to specific problems - skin related remedies which in times past would have been made using traditional herbal ingredients - countryside herbs, flowers, roots and shoots which any self respecting smallholder would grow by her back door.
As consumers become more aware of the adverse effects to both themselves and their environment of longterm use of chemicals (both in the skincare and topical medication that they use) they are returning full circle to Nature to find the answer. Almost all commercial formulae these days will use the world 'Natural' or mention a plant extract somewhere in it's advertising - proving that they acknowledge this fundamental shift in public perception. There is also the ongoing problem of testing cosmetics on defenceless animals which is something we are vigilant about when we source those natural ingredients we do not grow ourselves.

Although we only use pure Essential Oils, totally natural ingredients and plant based colours in all our skincare products most of which are organically sourced there are a very few customers who have a skin sensitivity to even natural ingredients. These include some nut and Essential oils – mainly those with a known ’spicy’ provenance such as Black Pepper, Cinnamon, Clove etc. This may cause a tingling and/or reddening of the skin. If you are sensitive to such natural ingredients you will probably know by now but just in case……
PLEASE patch test our products on the inside of your wrist before using them on your face…………if you find you have a sensitivity to any of our 100% natural skincare products just return them in their original packaging and we will either exchange or issue a refund including the cost of returning – your consumer rights are not affected by this offer.

made especially for blacksmiths, farriers, mechanics and everyone else trying to slough dirt and grease from hands the natural way......100g min Suggested by an Artist Blacksmith friend this is our heaviest-duty cleansing soap. Ideal kitchen sink soap - deals effectively with ground-in dirt, grease, grass stains, cooking smells and just about everything else. We've added a light touch of Organic English Lavender Essential oil for both it's ability to soothe burns and it's antibacterial properties. There's a generous helping of ground pumice in here too for it's natural exfoliation and a smattering of dried Rosemary leaves to help remove grime. Although it is highly exfoliating it is also made with over 75% pure Virgin Olive Fruit oil to replenish moisture. A creamy, gentle bar with exceptional cleaning properties..... .....
