Natural Handmade Soaps
Here at Woadworks we make three different kinds of 100% natural soap - all completely free of harsh chemical ingredients, artificial colourings and synthetic fragrances.
Our vegetable oil based soaps are made completely by hand in small batches using traditional methods of mixing together vegetable oils and nut butters and incorporating causticised Sea Salt to form a base product. We then add speciality oils, botanicals, herbs and distilled Cumbrian Spring Water, whole Coconut Milk or local unpasteurised whole Goats Milk to suit different skin types. We prefer to use at least 70% Extra Virgin Olive Fruit Oil in all our soaps due to its mild, moisturising properties and where possible, our ingredients are either homegrown, sourced locally or obtained from our trusted and Certified Organic Fair Trade supplier with whom we have a synergistic, longterm relationship.
We only use sustainable Essential oils for fragrance as these add specific benefits for both skin and mood. This is particularly evident in our artisan Pure Vegetable Glycerine range where the light, liquid oils carry fragrance well.
Because we handmake our whole range in our own soaperie from first mixing the oils to sticking on the handmade bio-degradable labels we know exactly what goes into our products so you can rest assured that our claims to be an artisan, ethical, family company committed to producing quality products direct to our customers will stand up. All our range are vegetarian friendly and most will suit vegans and celiacs also. None of our Natural Skincare products or the ingredients we use are ever tested on animals or cause harm to our environment. CUSTOMER INFORMATION -PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ
Although we only use pure Essential Oils, totally natural ingredients and plant based colours in all our skincare products most of which are organically sourced there are a very few customers who have a skin sensitivity to even natural ingredients. These include some nut and Essential oils – mainly those with a known ’spicy’ provenance such as Black Pepper, Cinnamon, Clove etc. This may cause a tingling and/or reddening of the skin. If you are sensitive to such natural ingredients you will probably know by now but just in case……
PLEASE patch test our products on the inside of your wrist before using them on your face…………if you find you have a sensitivity to any of our 100% natural skincare products just return them in their original packaging and we will either exchange or issue a refund including the cost of returning – your consumer rights are not affected by this offer.

Blacksmith's Soap with ground Pumice
made especially for blacksmiths, farriers, mechanics and everyone else trying to slough dirt and grease from hands the natural way......100g min Suggested by an Artist Blacksmith friend this is our heaviest-duty cleansing soap. Ideal kitchen sink soap - deals effectively with ground-in dirt, grease, grass stains, cooking smells and just about everything else. We've added a light touch of Organic English Lavender Essential oil for both it's ability to soothe burns and it's antibacterial properties. There's a generous helping of ground pumice in here too for it's natural exfoliation and a smattering of dried Rosemary leaves to help remove grime. Although it is highly exfoliating it is also made with over 75% pure Virgin Olive Fruit oil to replenish moisture. A creamy, gentle bar with exceptional cleaning properties..... .....
