Suggested by an Artist Blacksmith friend this is our heaviest-duty cleansing soap. Ideal kitchen sink soap – deals effectively with ground-in dirt, grease, grass stains, cooking smells and just about everything else. We’ve added a light touch of Organic English Lavender Essential oil for both it’s ability to soothe burns and it’s antibacterial properties. There’s a generous helping of ground pumice in here too for it’s natural exfoliation and a smattering of dried Rosemary leaves to help remove grime. Although it is highly exfoliating it is also made with over 75% pure Virgin Olive Fruit oil to replenish moisture. A creamy, gentle bar with exceptional cleaning properties…..

NOW WITH CRUSHED BURDOCK ROOT

- for young, oily or acne prone skins (min 100g)

Carageen or Irish Moss is rich in both vitamins and minerals giving it excellent anti-bacterial and astringent properties making it ideal for those prone to acne or oily skin. This seaweed, hand picked for us from the Solway coast adds both a mild exfoliant and a lovely natural colour. Although it is effective in reducing excess sebum on the surface of the skin, tightening pores and encouraging skin regeneration, it is mild and soothing so doesn’t strip the skin of naturally beneficial oils. We have now added Burdock Root with it’s anti-fungal and antibiotic qualities which help fight acne-causing bacteria. Sweet Gale (Bog Myrtle) Essential oil also has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory benefits for the skin as well as deodorising properties.

Rosehip Seed oil is a ‘dry’ oil, the only vegetable oil to contain Retinoic (Vitamin A) acid – making this a great soap for problem skin and to assist in tightening large pores. Said to soothe and minimise scar tissue and benefit oily skin, we have included a scattering of crushed hips to act as a gentle exfoliant. Rose Geranium Essential oil helps balance the secretion of sebum and stimulate sluggish skin – its natural antiseptic properties heal and tone. Evening Primrose oil which dilutes the accumulation of fat in the pores is added towards the end of the soap making process to retain all of its benefits.

A heavy-duty gardeners and kitchen soap, beloved by all our customers for its ability to slough away ingrained dirt and grime whilst both moisturising and healing those little nicks and cuts. We superfat this amazing soap with Jojoba oil and Aloe Vera gel to moisturise and aid healing. Ground pumice gets rid of all the dirt and strong kitchen odours while gentle soothing oatgrounds help restore the skins natural balance. There’s Rosemary powder in here too for it’s antibacterial and antiseptic properties and honey powder to remove dirt trapped deep in the pores. Essential oils of Rosemary & Eucalyptus provide the fragrance and further healing.
